The BBNM 2522-G10-JD is a full-size folding knife designed by tactical knife designer Dwyer Duane, combining a practical outdoor blade profile with a robust titanium-based locking structure and durable G10 scales.

At just $120, this model offers a level of construction that is extremely difficult to find at this price point.

The blade is made from 14C28N stainless steel, a proven choice for outdoor and everyday use. It offers an excellent balance of edge retention, toughness, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening.

The handle utilizes G10 scales with a titanium structure, giving the knife a strong yet lightweight construction.

We specifically chose titanium for the locking structure and clip rather than replacing it with cheaper steel components simply to reduce manufacturing cost.

The 2522 follows that philosophy with a broad, useful blade, comfortable handle geometry, practical jimping, a deep carry-style clip, and a strong locking mechanism.

It's designed to be carried and used—not just displayed.

14C28N Blade Steel

14C28N is particularly well suited to an outdoor folding knife.

Rather than chasing extreme hardness at the expense of toughness, 14C28N provides a well-balanced combination of:

Toughness + Corrosion Resistance + Edge Performance + Sharpenability

The blade is rated at approximately 59 HRC, making it a very practical hardness for an outdoor/EDC folder.

We wanted to offer a knife with premium construction without pushing the price into the $300 range.

At around this price point, many folding knives use aluminum or stainless-steel handle/frame components to control manufacturing costs.
